Was absolutely frustrated the other day, was helping a client with customizing his Tumblr. He was coming upon some challenges with his LinkedIn social media widget. After several different attempts and many hours of google searching, I temporarily gave in…and reached out. First, I contacted tumblr, and this is the answer I received:

So I went to LinkedIn to find the answer…another dead end.
Frustrated to the max, I took a break and went to bed. I woke up a couple hours later, middle of the night, feeling determined. Opened up my clients LinkedIn public profile, and noticed it was slightly off from the embedded html URL that the social media link in tumblr was leading it to. The earlier Linkedin URL public profiles all started with http://www.linkedin.com/in/. Recent public profiles do not include the in/ portion, so I had to go into the theme, and change it in the “Edit HTML” portion of the customizable menu.
Deleted in/ from the address and voilà!!!!!! LIFE WAS COMPLETE AGAIN….
